The Royal Titans are a boss encounter consisting of the two giants Eldric the Ice King and Branda the Fire Queen. Rulers over their domains in the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon and beneath the Karamja Volcano respectively, Branda is set on expanding her territory and has begun clashing with Eldric.
Players who die fighting the boss will have their gravestone placed outside the entrance, which follows standard death mechanics.
Group ironman players will lose their prestige upon entering the encounter with a player outside of their group.
The fight
The fight is intended to be fought by two players with a combat level of at least 90 with emphasis on gear switches; while players may solo them, the fight is much quicker with a partner. When solo, an additional player can join the instance and into a fight as long as one of the Titans has not lost more than 25% of their hitpoints.
During the fight, Eldric and Branda will harmlessly "fight" each other, conjuring spells. This can either summon a row of flames or ice that restrict movement, or they may summon three respective elemental beings; these attack the player, rather than each other. The giants will periodically walk one tile towards the arena, where players may attack them with melee; if they are out of the arena bounds, they must be attacked with ranged or magic. They can continue casting spells while next to the arena, or they may alternatively stomp at each other, dealing melee damage in a 3x5 AoE in front of them that can be fully blocked with Protect from Melee.
When one of the giants reaches 35% (~210 hitpoints) or less Hitpoints, both will teleport onto the arena, becoming static for the rest of the encounter. They will periodically cast an arena-wide spell (with the safe tile at the converging point), dealing moderate damage if the safe spot is not stood on. They will continue to conjure elementals and use melee, which now affects the entire arena. If one of the giants is subdued before the other is, the remaining giant will proceed to focus on the team, with their melee attack now piercing protection prayers and the safe spot for their arena-wide spell being as far away as possible from them, making it important to defeat both giants quickly.
Location
The Royal Titans can be accessed in the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon (fairy ring code AIQ). The entrance tunnel to the bosses can be found in the western part of the dungeon. With level 60 Agility, a tunnel shortcut just west of the dungeon ladder can be used for faster access to the boss. Furthermore, a giantsoul amulet can instead be used to directly teleport outside of the bosses' entrance tunnel.
A scoreboard by the tunnel shows statistics related to the Royal Titans.

Rewards
Upon the Titans' defeat, they will fall to the ground and players can choose to loot either Eldric or Branda; both have similar but different standard drops, with their unique drops being distinct, allowing players to put their focus on a specific drop if desired.
Players have three options when looting them:
- Loot - makes two primary rolls on the drop table.
- Sacrifice - forfeits drops in return for doubling the pet drop rate
- Take pages - rewards desiccated pages, which can be converted into burnt, soaked, or soiled pages at their respective plinths. Tertiary drops (clue scrolls and the pet) are still rolled.[1]
Contribution
The drop rates and quantities listed below assume the Royal Titans are killed by one player.
With two players, the quantities of regular items and the drop rates of unique items scale linearly, proportional to the damage dealt by that player. Damage to the elementals does not contribute towards reward contribution.
- For example, a player who deals 50% of the damage to the titans will roll twice for 140-160 coal, and a player who deals 100% of the damage will roll twice for 280-320 coal.
- Similarly, a player who deals 50% of the damage will have a 1/150 chance of receiving a fire element staff crown, and a player dealing 100% of the damage will have a 1/75 chance.
- Contribution is calculated as a whole number percent of damage dealt to the bosses (including recoil damage). A player who deals more than 0% but less than 1% of the total damage (from 1 to 11 damage) will still roll for two items on the main table, but only receive 1 of each item. Above 1% damage the quantities scale linearly.
- If choosing the "Take pages" option, it is possible to receive a single desiccated page having dealt as little as 72 damage, but a page is not guaranteed until dealing 120 damage.
The drop rates of the pet and clue scrolls do not depend on contribution.[2]
Branda the Fire Queen drops
Drop rates are estimated based on 5,235,186 samples from the Drop Rate Project, unless otherwise cited.
The average Branda the Fire Queen kill is worth 103,488.96.
The average high alch value of a Branda the Fire Queen kill is 38,649.85.
100%
When choosing the "Take pages" option, only 10-19 desiccated pages and tertiary drops (clue scrolls and the pet) are rolled.
With an average roll of 14.5 pages, choosing this option is worth 84,274 for burnt pages, 45,994 for soaked pages, and 36,177.50 for soiled pages.
