Spindel is a weaker variant of Venenatis who is fought in the Web Chasm, a singles-plus combat area in level 29 Wilderness. To enter Spindel's lair, players must have completed the hard Wilderness diary, OR they must have a Venenatis boss Slayer task (a spider Slayer task does not bypass the diary requirement).

Compared to Venenatis, the fight is easier and safer in return for lower drop quantities and rates. Killing Spindel counts as a Venenatis alternative for a slayer Boss task, the elite Wilderness diary task, and the combat achievements.

Spindel appears to be immune to Vengeance, so bringing runes or Vengeance sacks has no effect.

Upon any player entering the chasm, all players inside will be unable to teleport for 3 ticks (1.8s). This delay no longer occurs after completion of the hard Wilderness diary.
