Burnt bones are one of the few bones that free players can bury to train Prayer, with the others being normal bones, big bones, and monkey bones. They can be found in the Kebos Battlefront, the Lizardman Canyon, the Dragon Nest, and various locations in the Wilderness.
Burnt bones give 4.5 Prayer experience when buried. This can be increased by offering the bones in different ways:
- 13.5 XP when casting Sinister Offering.
- 13.5 XP when offered at the Sacred Bone Burner after the appropriate faith level has been achieved.
- 15.7 XP when offered at a gilded altar with two burners lit or at the Chaos Temple.
- 18 XP when offered at the Ectofuntus in the form of burnt bonemeal.
It is not recommended to train Prayer with burnt bones, as they are no different from regular bones, which are much easier to obtain. Additionally, unlike regular bones, they cannot be blessed on the exposed altar.
