The Sea of Souls is located south of the Isle of Souls. It is the northern part of the Shrouded Ocean. The Shipyard lies to the west, with Anglers' Retreat and the Mythic Sea to the east and the Barracuda Belt to the south.

A yellowfin shoal is located here.

Charting activates reward various amounts of Sailing experience, with significant bonus experience for completing every charting task in any given sea or ocean.

• In the March 2025 Sailing Alpha, the name "Sea of Souls" was used for an area north of the Soul Altar in Great Kourend. The name was moved to its current location in the June 2025 Sailing Beta.
