Mermaid guides are friendly mermaids that help the player chart the depths of the seas.
Diving
Each mermaid can be found in various waters and will give the player a sea charting riddle if either wearing the fishbowl helmet and diving apparatus, or the medallion of the deep. There is no benefit to wearing flippers. When a riddle is answered correctly, the mermaid will let the player dive with her to document the depths of the sea, which grants 125 Sailing experience.
