Vials of blood are obtained as drops from the Theatre of Blood or made by squeezing 50 blood sacs into a vial. It is used as the base instead of a vial of water when creating bastion and battlemage potions.
It is also used to charge the Scythe of Vitur, with each vial of blood, along with 200 blood runes, providing 100 charges. It can be charged by depositing the items into the vyre well in Ver Sinhaza or Darkmeyer and using the Scythe of Vitur on it.

Trivia
- Attempting to fill a vial with blood from Darkmeyer's fountains or a blood pint will result in a message saying "You try to fill your vial with blood but it spills all over the ground." and does not result in the player getting a vial of blood.
