Sarei, the Mysterious Stranger, is an aranei found by the entrance to the Theatre of Blood. They sell escape crystals, which allows players to teleport out of the Theatre of Blood.

They claim to work for some unnamed 'associates', who would like to see Verzik Vitur embarrassed. Players may speak to them to start A Night at the Theatre, a quest wherein the Theatre of Blood must be completed in any of the three modes. Should the player succeed, the Mysterious Stranger will reveal that they actually work for a master named Sugadinti, and will reward the player for successfully completing the Theatre and humiliating its hostess.

Players who complete certain amounts of the Theatre of Blood may speak to the Mysterious Stranger to receive a cape, though players can change their appearance through the right-click "Change" option, providing that they have met the completion count required for them:

During The Blood Moon Rises, Sarei is killed by Lowerniel Drakan, and a different aranei replaces them at the Theatre of Blood, offering the same services.
