Medallion fragments are items found on various islands accessed via the Sailing skill through a variety of activities. There are eight of these fragments, which are assembled into the Medallion of the Deep, an item that allows the wielder to breathe underwater. The medallion is also required for a master clue.

The locations of the fragments are hinted within the waterlogged journal, which was written by the medallion's creator and must be read before the medallion can be assembled. As the final fragment is found on Wintumber Island, the minimum Sailing level needed to obtain the medallion is 63.

If the Medallion is stored in the STASH or lost, the medallion fragments do not need to be reobtained, as the complete Medallion can be retrieved from the crate on The Pandemonium, near Henderson.
