The rusty chest is located on Dognose and Vatrachos Islands requiring level 40 and 46 Sailing respectively to moor at. It requires 33 Thieving level to picklock. A lockpick is not required to open it, but increases the success rate of opening the chest.

Upon failing to pick the lock, there is a chance to be teleported away from the chest. On Vatrachos Island, it teleports you near the raccoon, whereas on Dognose Island, it teleports you to near the mooring point.

The chest is a great source of elkhorn frags, giving them at a higher rate than other frags.

If players fail to loot the chest, there is a small chance to get teleported across the island. The effects of tele block or teleport anchoring scroll do not prevent this.
