The Ardougne Castle Chest are two thievable chests located on the 1st floor of Ardougne castle, one to the north and one to the south. The chests require 72 Thieving (boostable) to unlock, and rewards the player with 500 experience each time it is opened.
A door requiring 61 Thieving to pick (also boostable) must be opened to gain access to the chest, using the "Pick-lock" option on the door. This may be failed, but can simply be attempted again. The player gets 50 experience for unlocking either of the north or south doors. The chest must first be searched for traps, upon succeeding the player will trigger a second trap and be teleported to Witchaven. If the player does not search for traps and instead clicks open they will be dealt high damage. It takes 500 seconds (8 minutes 20 seconds) for the contents of the chest to respawn.
Opening this chest is a task required for the hard tier of the Ardougne Diary.
