Sleve McDichael is a drunken sailor that can be found on Tear of the Soul island, requiring level 61 Sailing to moor to.

He will give a player's boat a new, random name for a price of one unnoted cider. Noted cider can be exchanged with Biles just to the north for a fee of 5 coins per item. Despite being able to tell him that the player is not a fan of the name, the new name will still apply and it cannot be reversed.

He can rename any of the player's boats, they do not need to be physically present at the island to be renamed.

• Sleve's name comes directly from the fake American player names of the game Fighting Baseball for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System/Super Famicom.
• In August 2025 a RuneScape Wiki user, Cook Me Plox, held an Old School RuneScape–themed pub quiz for the OSRS team which included a question titled "Please don't name your child Veliaf", where the objective was to correctly identify which 10 names in the list were not existing NPCs. He added Sleve to the list following a conversation with Mod Lykos at The Free Press, Cambridge earlier that week. During the quiz, Mod Ed mistakenly believed that Sleve was a member of The Myreque, which then inspired Mod Lenny to add Sleve as an actual NPC.
