The lockbox is a locked chest found on Chinchompa Island, which requires level 42 Sailing to dock at.
Attempting to open it without the corresponding small key will give the player a set of directions instead, giving players a hint to the location of the small key needed to unlock the lockbox: On the Pandemonium, you'll dig on dry land, but make sure to move as far east as you can.
The small key can be obtained even if the player never obtained the lockbox directions; upon opening the lockbox with the small key, players are given the salvaging station schematic.
