A magic butterfly net is an item used in the Hunter skill. 17 Hunter is required to access Puro-Puro to obtain it. Like the butterfly net, it can be wielded to capture implings, butterflies, moths, and bats throughout Gielinor and Puro-Puro, but with an increased capture chance of approximately 7.8%^(20/256).^[1][2] Catching an impling without an impling jar will automatically loot it, and catching a butterfly or moth without a butterfly jar will automatically release it (unless the player is in Puro-Puro). A jar is required to keep them for later use.

Players can right-click this net to open the Impling Tracker, tracking the combined number of implings caught in both Puro-Puro and the surface world.

A magic butterfly net can be obtained by trading Elnock Inquisitor for the following impling jars (can be made or purchased from other players):

• 3 gourmet impling jars (requires level 28 Hunter)
• 2 earth impling jars (requires level 36 Hunter)
• 1 essence impling jar (requires level 42 Hunter)

Warning: This item is always lost upon death and will need to be reobtained, unless it is stored in the huntsman's kit.

• Wielding the magic butterfly net will make the player's running animation slightly faster.
• Despite not possessing any stats, the magic butterfly net is considered a weapon when boarding the ship to Entrana.
