The ninja impling is a type of impling that can be caught at level 74 Hunter (or 84 Hunter if catching barehanded). Catching a ninja impling requires a normal or magic butterfly net and some impling jars. Capturing a ninja impling will grant the player either 50 Hunter experience if caught in Puro-Puro, or 240 if caught on Gielinor.

Ninja implings can be caught in the Impetuous Impulses minigame, or when spotted throughout Puro-Puro or Gielinor. Once caught, the impling can be freed from the jar in exchange for an item, or can be given to Elnock Inquisitor for 3 empty impling jars, although this second option is not recommended.

Rarity

On the Gielinor surface, ninja implings have a 1/100 chance to appear out of a mid-tier invisible spawn, as well as a 30/101 chance of appearing out of a high-tier invisible spawn. In Puro-Puro however, ninja implings have a 27/301 chance to emerge from one of the high-tier invisible spawns.

The chance of successfully catching a ninja impling is between ~45% at level 74 and ~59% at level 99.[3]

When catching barehanded or with a magic butterfly net, the catch chance is increased by 7.8%.[4]

At current Grand Exchange prices, opening a ninja impling jar gives 12,211.00 worth of loot, on average. This means opening ninja impling jars makes an average profit of −34,703.00 per jar, however this does not include loot from clue scrolls.

On average, one would profit −867,572.00 to get a hard clue scroll from ninja impling jars at current Grand Exchange prices, excluding the rewards from the completed Treasure Trails.
