The Ourania Hunter area is located west of the Battlefield and north of the Observatory. Players with 59 Hunter can catch red salamanders here via net trapping, granting 272 experience each. The area is notable for being the only place where red salamanders were located, prior to the introduction of Sailing on November 19th, 2025, and the addition of Charred Island.
Transportation
From fastest to slowest:
- Ourania Teleport takes you directly to the salamanders.
- Use a spirit tree teleport to the Battlefield and walk west.
- Use an Ardougne cloak 1 teleport to the Ardougne Monastery and walk west.

To trap red salamanders, use a small fishing net and rope on a young tree. Tarromin tar may used to bait the trap and a lit torch may be used on it to reduce the player's scent, slightly increasing chances of catching a salamander.

There are two groups of young trees:
- Six young trees south of the chaos altar
- Six young trees east of the chaos altar
Monsters
- Level 17 monks of Zamorak are at the eastern hunting spot
- Level 12 grave scorpions are at the southern hunting spot
- Level 24 ghosts are at the southern hunting spot
