The noose wand is used in the Hunter skill to catch kebbits while tracking. The kebbits caught through tracking are polar kebbits, common kebbits, feldip weasels, desert devils, and razor-backed kebbits.

Once a kebbit has been tracked down, the player must equip the wand to catch it; without the noose wand, a Kebbit will simply be scared off. The noose wand serves no purpose when hunting Herbiboar. The noose wand can also be used to slice bananas.

This item can be bought from the Hunter shops in Yanille, Nardah, and the Hunters' Guild for 4 or 5 coins. The level 71 spell Hunter Kit from the lunar spellbook also gives a noose wand, among other hunter items. Casting Hunter Kit requires the completion of both the Lunar Diplomacy and Dream Mentor quests.
