A barb-tail harpoon is a weapon obtained after successfully trapping a barb-tailed kebbit, which requires 33 Hunter to catch. It is special as it functions as a wieldable harpoon in Fishing. Its ability to be wielded makes it a more convenient option for early-game players as it saves one inventory space and does not have a minimum Attack level requirement, unlike the highly sought after dragon harpoon. It also cannot be taken away by the tide while subduing Tempoross if the player fails to tether themselves to the mast. It can be stored in a tackle box.
