Sandworms are bait used with a fishing rod to catch anglerfish. They can be purchased from Tynan's Fishing Supplies in Port Piscarilius or caught on the shores of Piscarilius, in the north-east area directly east of the bank and just north of Tynan.

When the player reaches 15 Hunter, sandworms can be caught on the shores of Piscarilius by digging sandworm castings with a spade and buckets. Each bucket will fill with either sand or sandworms, with the latter yielding 10 Hunter experience. Harvesting a bucket of sandworms gives between 1 and 5 sandworms and returns the bucket.

Digging sandworms is also a decent method of low-level moneymaking, netting upwards of 100,000–150,000 coins per hour.

Diabolic worms can be used instead, acting as a direct upgrade to sandworms. They are only dropped by Yama, but vastly improve the speed of catching anglerfish.
