Sandworm castings can be found on the north-eastern beach of Port Piscarilius. They are the result of sandworms life, just as in reality.

When players have a spade and a bucket in their inventory, they can dig the castings with level 15 Hunter (not boostable). The bucket will then either be filled with sand or sand and sandworms. Obtaining sandworms will provide 10 Hunter experience. The chance of obtaining a bucket of sandworms scales with Hunter level.

Catch rate

The chance of receiving a bucket of sandworms when digging up sandworm castings ranges from around 59% at level 15, up to about 70% at level 99 Hunter.[1] If no sandworms are caught, a bucket of sand is received instead.
