Echo bosses are a returning system from Raging Echoes League that grant players the opportunity to fight challenging variants of existing bosses, targeting difficulty levels more suited to the power level that players attain during Leagues.

Overview

In order to access an echo boss, the player must acquire the region's echo orb from the non-echo variant of the boss and have it in their inventory while entering the boss area. Unlike Awakener's orbs, echo orbs are not consumed upon entry, and only one orb is needed for access to the boss for the entire League.

The regular bosses are guaranteed to drop echo orbs after exceeding 1x the nominal drop rate, and echo bosses are guaranteed to drop echo equipment after 2x the drop rate.

When the effect is triggered, the magic damage is dealt without needing to pass a second accuracy check. The effect also benefits from pacts and a creature's elemental fire weakness. The special attack costs 50% energy and performs an instant-hit with a guaranteed chance to cast Flames of Cerberus.

Kandarin

The echo variant of the thermonuclear smoke devil returns from Raging Echoes League. It requires Slayer 93 Slayer and a smoke devil slayer task. The echo variant does not require a slayer task once the Kandarin echo orb is obtained.

The devil's element returns as a unique drop and is a shield slot item that benefits elemental spells by adding a 30% elemental weakness against all elements in addition to any existing weaknesses.

The shadowflame quadrant can also be obtained by defeating the Echo thermonuclear smoke devil. It is a staff that, when on the standard spellbook, fires an additional spell attack that deals 40% of the damage of the first attack. Wilderness
