The Ruins of Unkah are ancient ruins in the Kharidian Desert, now inhabited by the Spirit Anglers, who have set up camp to investigate the nearby Tempoross Cove. A small mine is located atop a cliff north of the ruins.

Transportation

The Ruins of Unkah can be reached from Al Kharid by boarding Ferryman Sathwood's ferry. If entering from the desert, the player must go through either of the Shantay passes located on the southern and eastern borders of the ruins. Players can take Ferryman Nathwood's ferry back to Al Kharid.

History

The following lore is sourced from the spirit anglers research notes and The desert trout - ship's log.

Little is known about Unkah, but it can be presumed based on its name and its ruined state that like Uzer and Ullek, Unkah was a settlement during the God Wars which was destroyed by Zamorak's forces.

Recently, the crew of The Desert Trout, a group of fishermen, washed up on the shore of Al Kharid after their ship was sunk by a sea spirit. They reported the incident to Chancellor Hassan who formed the Spirit Anglers in response, and they set up in the Ruins of Unkah near Tempoross Cove to research and subdue the Tempoross.

Locations

Sea Spirit Dock

The Sea Spirit Dock west of the ruins.

The Sea Spirit Dock is where players arrive if travelling via Al Kharid. Here, players can board the docked ship via a rope ladder, where they are taken to Tempoross Cove to help subdue Tempoross, an ancient sea spirit. Players can learn the fight mechanics from Captain Pudi, and Captain Dudi will announce the time until the next fight starts.

The dock also features the reward pool, where players can use a small fishing net to collect rewards from subduing Tempoross. The nearby spirit angler hands out small fishing nets. The retired sailor will exchange some of these rewards for soaked pages. Finally, a noticeboard next to the pier displays statistics related to Tempoross.

Skill training areas

  • Ruins of Unkah mine
  • The fire and pot next to the entrance of the pier can be used to cook food. Despite its appearance and name, this actually functions as a range. There is another everlasting fire near the hilltop ruins, but it will not act as a range, and is further from a bank.
  • In addition to access to Tempoross via the docks, there are three cage/harpoon fishing spots just outside the ruin limits that are not subject to desert heat.
