The golden tench is a very rare equipable fish obtained from aerial fishing at Lake Molch at a rate of 1/20,000.^[1] When a player receives the tench, a message in the chatbox will state: The cormorant has brought you a very strange tench. Unlike other catches in Lake Molch, the golden tench cannot be cut using a knife.

Equipping the golden tench allows players to whack other players by right-clicking on them, just like with the stale baguette or the rubber chicken. Unlike the chicken, the tench cannot be fumbled, and thus is never forcefully dropped on the ground. Multiple golden tenches can be kept at a time, or players can speak to Alry the Angler to exchange it for 100 Molch pearls.

The benefits of Rada's blessing and spirit flakes will cause two golden tench to be caught at once if either item activates.^[2] The extra golden tench will not be counted in the collection log if this happens.

This item can be stored in the magic wardrobe of a costume room.
