Cavefish are a type of inedible fish that are offered at the mysterious altar in the Ruins of Camdozaal, granting 7 Prayer experience.

Cavefish can be obtained by preparing a raw cavefish on the preparation table whilst having a knife. Preparing cavefish requires level 20 Cooking and grants 23 Cooking experience when successful. Players may ruin the cavefish during preparation, resulting in a ruined cavefish; the chance of failure while preparing these will decrease as players reach higher Cooking levels.

Cavefish stop being ruined at 53 Cooking. However, players can reduce this to level 45 Cooking if they purchase the Preparation buff from Ramarno's Shard Exchange for 2500 Barronite shards.
