The Ancient Guardian is a quest monster that is encountered at the end of Below Ice Mountain.

Players can choose to kill this golem through standard combat, but lower levelled players are recommended to mine the four structural pillars in the corners of the room; this will cause some rocks to fall down and damage it. Alternatively, the guardian can be safespotted by luring it to the eastern side of the chamber, then retreating into the entrance passage where it will get stuck on the corner.

Despite being a golem, it is not weak to golembane weapons like the Barronite mace.
