Harmony Island was once a peaceful island full of monks, but it was taken over by zombie pirates who turned the monks undead. The island is located south of Mos Le'Harmless, and can only be accessed after starting The Great Brain Robbery.

During part of The Great Brain Robbery, the island is covered in a strange green poisonous gas. During this portion of the quest, traveling outside the windmill requires a fishbowl helmet and diving apparatus to be equipped; after finishing the quest, the gas disappears, and you can freely roam the island.

The Harmony Island teleport is the only way to direct travel to Harmony Island, landing near the beached ship. All other methods of reaching Harmony Island ultimately require speaking to Brother Tranquility. After starting The Great Brain Robbery, he stands directly north of the Mos Le'Harmless docks and provides transport to the island.

Several transport options bring players into or close to Brother Tranquility, listed here with their arrival destination. From closest to farthest:

• Charter ships — Mos Le’Harmless docks.
• Mos le'harmless teleport — south of the Mos Le'Harmless bank.
• Blue andred rum — Trouble Brewing on the east side of Mos Le’Harmless.
• Minigame teleport — same as rum, but is only usable once every 20 minutes.
• Speaking to Bill Teach on the east side of the Port Phasmatys docks. Teleports near Bill, and their destinations:
  • Ectophial — Ectofuntus just north of Port Phasmatys.
  • Morytania legs 3 — Ectofuntus slime pit.
  • Fairy ring ALQ — Haunted Woods west of Port Phasmatys.

The western side of the island serves as a farm for the island's inhabitants. In addition to a mill and fields for cabbage and wheat, there is an allotment patch and an undead herb patch. None of the patches are able to be protected; the allotment patch has no farmer to watch over them, and as the herb patch is undead, it is disease-free. The herb patch also requires completion of the Elite Morytania Diary to use.

Those looking to incorporate the herb patch into a farming run while saving an inventory space may find it more convenient to use the charter ship located at the Catherby docks to get to Mos Le'Harmless, as the cost of this is similar to that of a Harmony Island tablet.

The beached ship on the northern part of the island plays a large role in the Great Brain Robbery quest. Players must search its locker to find a fuse to blow open the front door of the Harmony Island monastery.

There is a monastery to Saradomin located in the centre of the island. Although the island is run by the monastery's monks and has its own chapel, there is no altar on the island.

When Saradomin first arrived in Gielinor, the southern half of Morytania was conquered and became part of Hallowvale; the monastery was most likely created during this time. Upon Zamorak's return, however, his forces overthrew the Saradominists and conquered the region for themselves, but the island seems to be untouched by Zamorakians, instead being taken over by the zombie pirates.

Players can also pick wheat and cabbage from their respective fields.

• Brother Tranquility, a monk who can teleport players back to Mos Le'Harmless.
• Mi-Gor, a sinister zombie encountered during The Great Brain Robbery quest.
• Dr Fenkenstrain, a mad scientist only found on the island after completing The Great Brain Robbery.
• Tool leprechaun, a green-clad fellow who can store gardening supplies and note produce.

Note that if players are in need of a new ring of charos, then they must pickpocket Dr Fenkenstrain here, in the windmill's basement; he will no longer be found at his castle after the quest is completed.

• If a player somehow enters Harmony Island without starting The Great Brain Robbery, attempting to enter the windmill or the underground tunnel at the statue will teleport them to Mos Le'Harmless with the message You are suddenly, mysteriously and instantly teleported away from Harmony.
