Flamtaer | OSRS Index

Flamtaer is the name of a ruined temple in Mort'ton. Repairing the temple is part of the Shades of Mort'ton quest, as well as the Shades of Mort'ton minigame.

Repairing the temple requires limestone bricks, swamp paste, and timber beams (which will be consumed), as well as either a hammer, Imcando hammer, or a Flamtaer hammer. The central fire altar can also be repaired once the temple is constructed, after which it can be lit. This fire altar is then used to sanctify olive oil and serum 207, creating sacred oil and serum 208 respectively. A more detailed explanation of the mechanics can be found here.

Trivia

In RuneScape 3, it is revealed that Flamtaer was an entire village rather than just the temple. The Zarosian warrior Torva originated from the village, and defended it from a pack of Ripper Demons, although much of the village was destroyed. This is alluded to in the Tree wizards' journal.^[1]
