The zenyte shard is a rare drop received from tortured and demonic gorillas in the Crash Site Cavern, which can be accessed after completion of Monkey Madness II.

In order to create an uncut zenyte, the shard must be fused with a cut onyx in the wall of flames of the Temple of Marimbo Dungeon while holding a zombie monkey greegree (either variant). Doing so grants 15 crafting experience and gives the message: You reach into the extremely hot flames and fuse the zenyte and onyx together, forming an uncut zenyte.

Using a zenyte shard on a cut onyx gives the message: Only the intense heat of the flame pits beneath Ape Atoll can fuse the zenyte and onyx together.
