Meiyerditch is a slum ruled by Lord Drakan and his family from the city of vampyres, Darkmeyer, the capital of Morytania. Once the capital city of the Saradominist kingdom of Hallowvale prior to the God Wars, the city fell to vampyric control during the kingdom's fall in the Third Age.

The player must begin the Darkness of Hallowvale quest before they may travel to Meiyerditch. The following methods can be used to get there.

• Boarding the boat south of Burgh de Rott, on the eastern dock.
• Taking the rowboat to Slepe north of Port Phasmatys for 10,000 coins and running to Ver Sinhaza.
• After completing A Taste of Hope, the Drakan's medallion, can be used to teleport to Ver Sinhaza in the south-eastern part of Meiyerditch.

Meiyerditch was originally inhabited by humans and presumably icyene who had lived there when Saradomin's followers arrived and settled in at some point prior to the God Wars.

When Queen Efaritay was overthrown by Lowerniel Drakan during the invasion of Hallowvale, the vyres immediately enslaved the human population to serve as blood tithes. The conditions in the city immediately deteriorated, with the entire populace living in slum-like conditions and barely given any sustenance to survive. Even the local cat population, who had remained to try and support the humans, suffered from the vile conditions.

A Myreque branch would be set up in Meiyerditch, led by Safalaan Hallow and a small group of supporters that maintained contact with another cell outside the city. A passing human adventurer from the human kingdoms to the west would join the organization, which eventually culminated in the remnants of the group deposing Lowerniel and Sugadinti Vitur, one of Lowerniel's ancient rivals, becoming the new leader of the vampyres. Sugadinti immediately halted all blood tithes and granted all humans in the city freedom, allowing them to do whatever they wished. Large numbers of humans began leaving Meiyerditch to resettle west of the Salve, though Sugadinti hoped that some would see that there was still a place for them in Meiyerditch as the human kingdoms were unlikely able to handle the large influx of refugees. Conditions in the city slowly began to improve, though it would likely take numerous lifetimes to restore the city to its former glory.
