The Meiyerditch mine is a mine located within the city of Meiyerditch. It is the only mine that has daeyalt rocks, which contain daeyalt ore inside them. A player is sent here if they refuse to give a blood tithe to a vyrewatch in Meiyerditch, or if they ask a vyrewatch to send them to the mines. Once in the mine, a player must mine 15 ores and place them in a cart before the guards will let them leave. The mine is filled with Meiyerditch miners, human slaves who cannot mine enough ore to leave, as well as unattackable vampyre juvinate guards. If the player did not bring a pickaxe, they can ask the Meiyerditch miners for a spare bronze pickaxe.
After completion of The Blood Moon Rises, the slaves will no longer be present in the mine, and mining ore is no longer required to leave - speaking to a guard will give the option to be escorted out. Alternately, if The Blood Moon Rises is not completed, if the player has vyre noble clothing equipped, they can speak to any of the guards to be led out of the mine without mining the required ore. When players leave the mine (other than by teleporting), they appear in the north-east corner of Meiyerditch, near a ladder, although the mine cannot be entered via the ladder.
Daeyalt ore cannot be used in Smithing or traded, but it can be used to recolour the rock golem pet. To take daeyalt ore out of the mine, the player can mine the required 15 ores and speak to a guard to gain the ability to leave, then mine additional ores before they go. Alternately, if using the vyre noble outfit or are teleporting out, they need only mine the ores they wish to take.
The daeyalt ore in this mine was given its magical properties by the Stone of Jas, which was previously located in the nearby Daeyalt essence mine.
