Old Man Ral is an elderly man found near the entrance of Meiyerditch. Old Man Ral is something of a sage within Meiyerditch, and regularly uses his knowledge to help both the Myreque and the ghetto's residents. He has knowledge of the Myreque operating in Meiyerditch, and during the Darkness of Hallowvale quest he shows players how to navigate Meiyerditch by following secret pathways.
Ral plays a small role in the Darkness of Hallowvale quest. After players compliment him, he tells them the location of the northern Sanguinesti Myreque Hideout. He can only be helpful after the player has spoken to a citizen about him.
He can be tricky to locate for the first time during Darkness of Hallowvale. He resides in a building down an alleyway north-east of the wall where you land the boat to access Meiyerditch along with a few other citizens (three buildings north of the wall rubble that you climb over; also one building north of Trader Sven).
After the Meiyerditch hideout is compromised during A Taste of Hope, his basement is used as a hideout for the surviving Myreque throughout Sins of the Father, and when Ivan Strom leaves the hideout during The Blood Moon Rises, Old Man Ral takes up his role of providing Drakan's medallions and selling supplies.
Treasure Trails
Old Man Ral is the solution to the master anagram clue: MOLD LA RAN. He will give you either a light or puzzle box to solve.
The fastest way to get to him is via the Drakan's medallion's Ver Sinhaza teleport. Just run slightly south-west out of the doors, then further west to his house.
An alternative route is via Burgh de Rott. Take the Boat south of Burgh de Rott to Meiyerditch, navigate the agility shortcuts, and then run north.
