Ultimate Ironmen use many different methods to store items and to save inventory space due to their inability to bank. These include using various items that can store multiple items in a single inventory space, Item Retrieval Services that can serve as a temporary "bank" for storing items, storage furniture in the player-owned house, STASH units, and more. In this way, Ultimate Ironmen can have at least some flexibility in terms of what items they have available for different activities.

Storage items

Certain items can store multiple other items in a single inventory space. The most important storage item is the looting bag. There are also other items that are very useful for overall gameplay, such as the rune pouch and the seed box.

Looting bag

The looting bag.

The looting bag stores up to 28 tradeable items or stacks of items in a single inventory space. The looting bag cannot hold untradeable items. On death, the looting bag is destroyed, and the contents inside will be dropped to the ground or put into the relevant Item Retrieval Service.

Items can be put into the looting bag (commonly referred as "bagging") in the Ferox Enclave. It is the only non-Wilderness area where items can be put into the looting bag. Players can quickly get there by using a ring of dueling or the basic jewellery box (or higher), or using the Minigame Teleport to Last Man Standing. Bagging items elsewhere than the Ferox Enclave is not recommended, except for very low-level players who cannot be targeted by most player killers.

The storage interface.

The main way for Ultimate Ironmen to get the contents out from the looting bag is to die. Another option is to destroy the bag in the Wilderness and pick up the items. When the looting bag is destroyed in the Wilderness, the contents inside will drop on the ground and they are instantly visible to other players. Destroying the bag is only recommended when the player has relatively few items inside and can quickly pick up everything at once.

  • If the looting bag is destroyed outside of the Wilderness, the contents inside will be permanently lost. Extra care should be taken when destroying the bag.
  • The Ferox Enclave is not considered the Wilderness for the purpose of destroying the looting bag. If the looting bag is destroyed in the Ferox Enclave, the contents inside will be permanently lost.
  • Following an update with the way chinchompas function on death, it is now possible to retrieve chinchompas from the looting bag via deathpiling or item retrieval services.

Looting bags can be obtained from monsters in low-level Wilderness. Currently, the fastest method to obtain a looting bag is to kill the level 1 rats just outside of the Ferox Enclave slightly north-east. This method is only recommended for players with minimal risk. A slower but a safer method is to kill thugs in the Edgeville Dungeon. Players can also purchase looting bags or looting bag notes at Justine's stuff for the Last Shopper Standing for 1 Last Man Standing point each. Looting bags can also be purchased from Slayer Masters for 10 Slayer points.

Other storage items

The rune pouch.

The rune pouch and the seed box are the most notable storage items. The default rune pouch can store up to three different types of runes but can be upgraded to a divine rune pouch by combining it with a thread of Elidinis, increasing its capacity to four types of runes. The seed box can store up to six different types of seeds, useful for Farming training or storing seeds from drops for later use. Both of these items are extremely useful overall and worth getting as early as possible.

The herb sack can store up to thirty of each type of grimy herb. It is mainly used for specific activities that give a lot of unnoted grimy herbs, such as tracking herbiboars or killing monsters like Aberrant spectres. Otherwise, the herb sack has limited uses and offers only minor benefits for Slayer, so many players choose not to get one as it can take a considerable amount of time to obtain.

Note: Should the player die with too many items, mainly including a full herb sack, it is possible to hit the maximum number of items on the ground, which will delete items upon death.

The plank sack stores up to 28 planks of any variety. It is very useful for training Construction and shipbuilding, and also helpful for training Agility at the Hallowed Sepulchre.

Other storage items have very limited or niche uses, so they are generally not recommended for most Ultimate Ironmen to obtain.

Ghost Storage

Some storage items can be used to "ghost store" (also, "ghost bag" or "ghostbank") the items they contain. This method allows players to keep the items in storage without keeping the storage item in their inventory. To do this, the player must put the items in the storage item, turn off the "Always empty on death" option for that item if applicable, then "wipe" the storage item by letting a death pile expire or leaving it in a death bank and dying again. When the player reobtains the storage item, it will still contain the items.

For example, one can buy a Bolt pouch, add Dragon bolts to it, die in a death pile, wait 1 hour for the death pile to expire, then buy another bolt pouch. The second bolt pouch will contain the dragon bolts, so in the meantime they were stored while taking up no space.

Note that generally using the "Destroy" option will delete the contents, so it must be wiped via either death pile or death bank expiration. Also, not all storage items are compatible with ghost bagging and simply delete the contents when they are reobtained. The storage item also may be more difficult to reobtain than the contents. For example, a player can ghost store Rope in a Huntsman's kit, but to reobtain the kit requires a uncommon drop from Hunter rumours which is significantly harder to get than buying more rope.

Temporary item storage

Deathpiling

A player dying after reaching 0 Hitpoints.

Ultimate Ironmen have different death mechanics than other account types. On a normal death outside of instanced areas, all items will drop to the ground. The items will stay there for 60 minutes before disappearing. This 60-minute timer counts down only when the player is logged in. The items will not show to other players (This also applies in the wilderness as long as you have not been tagged by another player. Un-noted food and potions will disappear however) and they will appear in any world as they are attached to the player. If the player dies again with items from a previous deathpile still on the ground, they will stay there for the remainder of the 60 minutes from the first death.

Purposefully suiciding and temporarily storing items this way is also known as deathpiling. There are a few different methods that are commonly used for deathpiling:

  • Dying to biting insects in the Lumbridge Swamp Caves without a light source. Players can easily access the caves from the Lumbridge Castle cellar. While being attacked by insects, players can click the exit to the caves at 2 hitpoints to die in the cellar where their items can be retrieved in safety. Alternatively, players with low Thieving levels can pickpocket Men and Women in the castle courtyard to die next to the respawn point.
  • Picking nettles in Edgeville while not wearing gloves. This will put the items right next to the Edgeville Dungeon, which is convenient for getting a new looting bag, and nearby the Soul Wars Portal, so the new bag can be refilled quickly. For players with 31 prayer or higher, the scorpion in the Edgeville Monastery is another option, killing the player much faster and without requiring them to take off their gloves.
  • Suiciding to a White Knight in Falador Castle. This is a good option for players who have their respawn point in Falador, as they can pick up their items right after dying.
  • Pickpocketing elves in Prifddinas. This is a good option for players who have their respawn point in Prifddinas, as they can pick up their items right after dying.
The locator orb.

To speed up deathpiling, it is recommended to lower the Hitpoints beforehand if feasible. This is usually done by feeling the locator orb or attempting to eat the dwarven rock cake. Low-level players can alternatively attempt to steal from the 10 coin chest in East Ardougne without disarming the traps.

Deathpiling can be used to manage items in the looting bag. Compared to using an Item Retrieval Service, deathpiling is free, it does not have any requirements, and it is relatively fast. It is also useful for trips to Entrana, which require the player to have no weapons or armour. Deathpiling also allows the player to keep their items safe for trips to the Wilderness; however, if the Ultimate Ironman is attacked by a player and later dies from self-inflicted or PvM damage the attacking player will still receive kill credit. So, before refreshing a death pile, the Ultimate Ironman must log out or use a rejuvenation pool to clear the PvP interaction flag even if the attacking player did not kill the Ultimate Ironman.

Putting items on a table

Tradeable items can be put on a table by simply using an item on the table. Items put on a table will stay on it for 10 minutes before disappearing. The items will show to other players 60 seconds after being put on the table. However, items put on the table at the Blast Furnace will not show to other players and will hop worlds with the player. Players with an alt can use a table in their POH to table safely, though the alt must stay in the house to keep the instance open.

This method is useful for quick trips to Entrana, which requires the player to have no weapons or armour. It can also be useful for players who plan to store their items at an Item Retrieval Service but cannot hold all their items at once.

Dropping items

Dropped items stay on the ground for 3 minutes before disappearing. Tradeable items will show to other players 60 seconds after being dropped. Untradeable items do not show to other players. In the Wilderness, dropped tradeable items show instantly to other players, and consumables (most food and potions) will disappear after 15 seconds.

This method is mainly used to "juggle" items on the floor to temporarily extend inventory space. Dropping untradeable items can also be useful when quickly entering to Entrana while questing. Otherwise, it is recommended to use other methods to temporarily make inventory space, as the player risks losing the dropped items to a disconnection.

Item Retrieval Services

Items stored at Arno's Item Retrieval Service for Hespori.

Some instances provide an Item Retrieval Service, which is often referred to as a "deathbank". On death in a such instance, all items will be stored into the Item Retrieval Service, which returns the player's items after a death within the instance. This allows Ultimate Ironmen to store their items indefinitely until they are withdrawn.

Item Retrieval Services have an interface (except Zulrah) that allows the player to withdraw specific items as desired. They are commonly used for safe activities that require a lot of inventory space or that benefit from reduced weight, such as training Smithing, Construction, or Herblore.

While items are stored at an Item Retrieval Service, any unsafe death will cause those items to be permanently lost. It is strongly recommended to only do completely safe activities while items are stored at an Item Retrieval Service.

Item Retrieval Services cost money to use. The exceptions are Zulrah, which is free for Ultimate Ironmen, and the Volcanic Mine, which costs numulites instead of coins. To get their items back, the player must bring the payment with them or have it stored in the Item Retrieval Service.

Hespori

Arno, the item retriever for Hespori.

Hespori is generally the best Item Retrieval Service to use. It is easily accessible through multiple different teleports, and only costs 25,000 coins to use. Using the Hespori storage requires level 65 Farming (boostable) and a fully grown Hespori seed. The coins can be taken out of your stored items, you don't need to bring the cash upon collection.

Low-level players are advised to build the Battlefront portal in their player-owned house to get to the Farming Guild. Alternatively, those players can build the Arceuus Library portal and ride the Lovakengj Minecart Network from the station east of the teleport to the station west of the Farming Guild, which is approximately 31 tiles shorter than the run from the Battlefront portal. This has the benefit of being closer to both the Farming Guild and a fairy ring, but riding minecarts in Kourend will cost 20 coins per trip until completion of The Forsaken Tower (upon which they become free). High-level players who have their respawn point and player-owned house in Prifddinas can quickly get there by entering their house and using the fancy jewellery box teleport to the Farming Guild, or by using their spirit tree, provided they've grown one in the Farming Guild and currently have 85 Farming (boostable).

Volcanic Mine

The Volcanic Mine Item Retrieval Service is unique in that it requires numulite to use, rather than coins. A quick way to get numulite is to use stored fossils from Fossil Island activities and trade them for numulite at the Fossil Collector.

Players can quickly get to the Volcanic Mine via the mounted digsite pendant in the player-owned house. Low-level players who have their respawn point in Lumbridge can take the gnome glider from Al Kharid to the Digsite, travel to Fossil Island, and run from the Museum Camp to the mine.

Zulrah

The Zulrah Item Retrieval Service returns the items based on a set order, unlike the other Item Retrieval Services. This makes it an inconvenient option for managing items, and thus using it is generally not recommended. However, this Item Retrieval Service does not cost money to use[1] (unlike for other account types, this is true regardless of killcount), which can be useful for low-level players.

Items retrieved from Priestess Zul-Gwenwynig will be returned in the following order:

  • Stackable items that are already in your inventory
  • Inventory from left to right, top to bottom
  • Equipment from left to right, top to bottom
  • Looting bag from left to right, top to bottom

Other

Other Item Retrieval Services can be useful in special situations, such as when using Hespori is not possible. Vorkath is fast to get to by using the Moonclan house portal or Fremennik sea boots 4. The Theatre of Blood is unique in that the player is spawned in Ver Sinhaza after the death, which allows the player to access the Item Retrieval Service right after dying. However, both are a lot more expensive to use than Hespori.

Activities to do while your items are stored

You might want to achieve as many inventory limited objectives as possible each time you use an item retrieval service, since collecting your items from the service generally requires you to expend Last Man Standing points to purchase a new Looting bag. Some such activities include:

Activity Activity Type Notes
Barbarian Assault Combat Minigame Runes and ammunition are not allowed in the game. Looting bags and the rune pouch are not allowed even if they are empty.

Player-owned house

The Costume room.

The storage options in the player-owned house are mainly centred around the Costume room. At level 46 Construction, players can build the Armour case and the Magic wardrobe, which can store lots of various equipment. Other notable storage options include the Treasure chest, the Cape rack, and the Pet house.

For more information, see Ultimate Ironman Guide/Construction.

Armour case

One of the main uses of the armour case is storing Void Knight equipment. At level 46 Construction, players can build an Oak armour case to store 25 armour sets.

Useful sets stored in the Armour case are shown in the table below.

Set Pieces Uses
Void Knight equipment

Void Knight equipment and its elite counterpart provide relatively high damage output, and it is useful for various bosses and raids. The top and bottom pieces also have relatively high Magic defence bonuses, which can be useful for some Slayer tasks like mutated zygomites.

Note: Void knight helmets count as one set each.

Fighter torso Provides +4 Strength bonus and can be easily obtained from the Barbarian Assault minigame. Useful for any Melee combat.
Oathplate armour
or
The best storable melee gear for slash and general usage.
Masori armour

Best-in-slot Ranged armour. The standard and the fortified versions count as separate sets.
Rogue equipment When wearing the full set of the rogue armour, players will get double loot from pickpocketing an NPC. This is very useful for blackjacking, pickpocketing Knights of Ardougne, and pickpocketing Master Farmers.
Proselyte armour
or
Provides high Prayer bonus. However, Proselyte armour can be quickly bought from Sir Tiffy Cashien in Falador Park, making this storing option less useful.
Mourner gear Mourner gear is obtained in Mourning's End Part I, and is required in the subsequent quests Mourning's End Part II and Song of the Elves.
Lumberjack outfit Provides 2.5% experience boost to Woodcutting when worn.
Prospector kit Provides 2.5% experience boost to Mining when worn. Having the prospector helmet is required for Falador hard diary.
Angler's outfit or Provides 2.5% experience boost to Fishing when worn. Having the angler's outfit is required for catching minnows.
Shayzien armour (tier 5) Needed for killing lizardman shamans. It is recommended to also store the tier 4 armour in case the player needs to get the tier 5 armour back.
Farmer's outfit
or
Provides 2.5% experience boost to Farming when worn. However, it is not worth getting for most players due to the time it takes to get.
Obsidian armour Can be bought from the TzHaar-Hur-Zal's Equipment Store in the inner part of Mor Ul Rek, which requires a fire cape to access. Useful for Melee training, especially when used along with the toktz-xil-ak and the berserker necklace. However, the fighter torso provides the same Strength bonus as the obsidian platebody and platelegs combined, making this set less useful for general use.
Justiciar armour Provides the highest defensive bonuses for Melee and Ranged.
Inquisitor's armour Provides high Strength and crush accuracy bonuses.
Vyre noble outfit Useful in Darkmeyer.

Magic wardrobe

Graceful outfit.

Many Ultimate Ironman players rush to build a magic wardrobe as soon as possible, as it can store the graceful outfit. The lowest level Magic wardrobe is the oak magic wardrobe, which can be built at level 42 Construction and can store up to seven armour sets.

Useful sets stored in the Magic wardrobe are shown in the table below.

Set Pieces Uses
Graceful outfit Graceful outfit reduces weight and increases run energy restoration. This is useful for activities that involve a lot of running, such as questing, training Runecraft, or training Smithing.
Pyromancer outfit Provides 2.5% experience boost to Firemaking when worn, and also counts as warm clothing in Wintertodt.
Raiments of the Eye Provides 60% more runes when Runecrafting with the full outfit.
Mystic robes Useful for any combat where Magic accuracy is needed, such as smoke devils and Zulrah. However, the mystic robes can be quickly bought from the Wizards' Guild in Yanille, making this storing option less useful. The Elite Void Knight equipment with mage helm typically offers better damage output if the player does not have a tormented bracelet.
Infinity robes Infinity robes provide slightly higher Magic accuracy than mystic robes. Each of the three core pieces offer 1% magic damage.
Bloodbark armour Bloodbark is relatively easy to obtain once the required runecrafting level has been obtained. Each of the three core pieces provide 1% magic damage.
Ancestral robes Ancestral robes are the best-in-slot robes for magic attack. Each piece also provides 3% increase in magic damage, which makes the set substantially better than any other magic robes.
Virtus robes Compared to Ancestral robes, Virtus robes provide the same Magic accuracy bonus while sacrificing some magic damage for better defence and added prayer bonuses. Using Ancient Magicks however makes the robes superior to Ancestral robes, making them ideal whenever the player is on the Ancient Magicks such as bursting, barraging monsters, or PvP situations.
Smiths' Uniform Smiths' uniform enhances various smithing activities. Additionally, the smiths gloves can be upgraded to include the utility of ice gloves. As the ice gloves cannot otherwise be stored this is an option to eliminate the need to reobtain new ice gloves every time the utility of ice gloves is required. However, this may not be efficient, as the amount of time required to obtain the ice gloves is significantly lower than the time required to complete the smiths uniform set.
Log basket A filled log basket can be stored in the Magic wardrobe, which is very useful for players who wish to do birdhouse runs but don't want to waste bag space on noted logs.

Treasure chest

The Treasure chest is used to store Treasure Trail rewards. Useful sets stored in the Treasure chest are shown in the table below.

Set Pieces Uses
Spiked manacles Provide a +4 Melee strength bonus.
Ranger boots The second best storable boots for Ranged.
Blessed boots The third-best storable boots for Ranged. However, they also provide a +1 Prayer bonus and protection against monsters in the God Wars Dungeon.
Wizard boots The third best storable boots for Magic. Blood bark boots (stored in the magic wardrobe) have the same magic attack bonus with better defence bonuses.
Holy sandals The best storable boots for Prayer bonus.
Dragon boots (g) The third best storable melee boots behind Primordial boots/Avernic treads (max) (stored in STASH). Also useful for swapping with stashed upgrade.
Dragon scimitar (or) Good storable mid-game slash weapon. Also a convenient and free option for Falo the Bard Dragon scimitar clue steps.
Amulet of glory (t) Best storable neck slot item for general use.
Strength amulet (t) Best storable neck slot item for strength bonus.
Amulet of defence (t) Best storable neck slot item for defense bonuses.
Vestment robes Includes the best storable neck slot prayer bonus as well as high prayer options for other slots. Must store a full set of one God's Vestment robes before they can be withdrawn.

STASH units

STASH units can be used to store useful items for specific situations. The most useful STASH units are listed in the table below.

Useful item(s) Location Construction level Other items needed Notes
Iorwerth Camp 88 None The Bow of Faerdhinen can be substituted with a crystal bow.
Rune crossbow Shadow dungeon entrance 77 Climbing boots are disposable. Having an Armadyl mitre can be useful here, since it counts as an Armadyl item when retrieving items after a death at Kree'arra.
Amulet of glory Outside the Legends' Guild building 77 Useful for quickly getting an amulet of glory for mining gem rocks.
or Primordial boots or Avernic treads (pr) Fountain of Heroes under the Heroes' Guild 77 Useful for saving space when not in use. Interchangeable with Dragon boots (g), which are storable in the Treasure chest to save inventory space while Prims are in use.
Any Slayer helmet Warriors' Guild 88 Dragon battleaxe The dragon battleaxe is disposable, as it can be bought from Happy Heroes' H'emporium or Myths' Guild Weaponry for 200,000 coins, and alched at a loss of 80,000 coins. Alternatively, the battleaxe can be used for the special attack. The dragon defender can be substituted with an avernic defender.
Catacombs of Kourend 88 A degraded amulet of the damned is untradeable and will be destroyed on death. Completing the master clue step normally will always degrade the amulet, however there is a workaround. All Barrows equipment (including the amulet) can only degrade on a global timer of 100 ticks, or 60 seconds, so equipping another piece of Barrows, entering combat to degrade it, and then quickly doing the master clue step will avoid degrading the amulet. This is useful as it allows the amulet of the damned to be safely stored inside a Looting bag.
Abyssal whip Draynor Village 88 The cape of legends can be stored on the cape rack in the player-owned house. The spined chaps can be stored in the armour case by storing every piece of the spined armour set except for the chaps in the armour case. When returning the spined chaps to the STASH unit, you withdraw the entire set, equip the chaps and then store the remaining spined armour back into the armour case.
Bandos godsword Goblin Village 88 The Bandos godsword's special attack is useful against various bosses. However, all the items required for this STASH unit are relatively hard to get.
Dragon pickaxe Soul Altar 88 The helm of neitiznot is disposable, as it can be alched at a loss of 20,000 coins, and later reclaimed back from Mawnis Burowgar or Perdu. The rune boots are also somewhat disposable, as they are relatively fast to get back from nechryael or Greater Nechryael. The dragon pickaxe can be substituted with a crystal pickaxe or an infernal pickaxe. See also: Path of Het pickaxe storage for what may be a more convenient option that supports all pickaxe types.
Enchanted Valley 88 None The dragon axe can be substituted with a crystal axe or an infernal axe.
Any set of Barrows equipment Near Barrows chest 88 None Useful for storing a set of Dharok the Wretched's equipment, or other set of tank armour for general use. Degraded pieces of armour can be stored in the STASH unit.
Guardian boots Zul-Andra 88 The Guardian boots can be substituted with Echo boots or Bandos boots. The Guardian boots are best-in-slot for melee and ranged tanking, while Echo boots provide an additional +1 prayer bonus over the Holy sandals. The Obsidian cape may be stored on the cape rack, while the Dragon 2h sword must be placed in the inventory or Looting bag.
Blue moon armour Outside of Cam Torum entrance 88 None The full Blue moon armour set is required. Useful for storing armour similar in power to Ahrim the blighted's equipment, while also being able to store a staff capable of autocasting Ancient Magicks. Degraded pieces of armour can be stored in the STASH unit.

Noted potions

A player making super attacks and noting the potions at Bob Barter.

Potions can be noted by using a decanter to decant potions into specific doses. This is typically done while training Herblore to keep the potions for later use. Bob Barter is generally the best decanter to use, as he is next to a bank and to the Grand Exchange teleport.

To note unnoted potions, players must decant the potions into smaller-dosed ones than they originally were. For example, unnoted 4-dose potions will be noted when they are decanted into 2-dose potions, but unnoted 2-dose potions decanted into 4-dose potions will stay unnoted. Players will need to have coins or noted empty vials in their inventory to do this.

Players will also need to have at least 1–3 empty inventory spaces or empty vials depending on what doses the potions are decanted into. Otherwise, the decanter will say there is not enough inventory space to decant the potions. The minimum amount of space required is shown in the table below.

Doses Space
required
4 → 3 2
4 → 2 1
4 → 1 3
3 → 2 1
3 → 1 2
2 → 1 1

When decanting from 3-dose potions into 2-doses, players can alternatively have an unnoted 1-dose potion in the inventory. This makes it so the player does not have to drop any items when decanting, because the 1-dose potion effectively counts as an empty inventory space. However, this is only feasible when making an even number of potions per inventory (such as 10 × 10), as with an uneven number the unnoted 1-dose potion will be noted.

Potions that are already noted can be decanted into any doses, and they will stay noted regardless of what doses they are decanted into. For example, decanting noted 2-dose potions into 4-doses will give the player noted 4-dose potions and noted empty vials. This mechanic allows players to have their potions at any doses: if the player wanted to note unnoted 4-dose potions, they would first decant them into 2-dose potions to note them, and then decant them back into 4-dose potions and the potions would stay noted.

With the completion of the hard tasks in the Desert Diary, Zahur can also be used to turn clean herbs along with vials of water into unfinished potions. Doing so costs 200 coins per herb. This is the only way to get noted unfinished potions, which vastly increases the speed of potion-making.

For more information, see Ultimate Ironman Guide/Herblore.

Players can also use the decanter to have multiple stacks of the same potion in different doses. The easiest way to do this is to use the looting bag to deposit a certain amount of potions inside. This can be toggled in the looting bag settings. For example, a player could deposit 10 noted 4-dose Saradomin brews into the looting bag for later use, and have a large stack of noted 2-dose potions in the inventory.

Having small stacks of noted potions is very useful for Chambers of Xeric. This allows players to drop the potions before the Great Olm for more inventory space, and only risk relatively few potions in case they disconnect and lose the raid. It can also be useful for trips to the Wilderness if the player has limited inventory space available, as this speeds up preparation while the items are deathpiled on the ground.

Unnoting exact quantities

Unnoting items at a bank will provide the player with as many of that item as they can hold. Ultimate ironmen may instead prefer to limit the number of items unnoted. There are two ways of unnoting exact quantities of a noted item as an ultimate ironman:

  • Utilise the services of Phials who will offer to unnote fixed quantities for 5 coins each;
  • Unnote at a bank while the available inventory space is limited. This may involve some strategy to fill the player's inventory, such as:

Coins storage

Coins can be stored in coffers located at some minigames. The coins coffers at the Nightmare Zone and Last Man Standing are most commonly used, and they can hold up to 262,143,000 each. Coins can only be deposited or withdrawn from these coffers in multiples of 1000 coins.

The servant's money bag in the player-owned house can also be used to store up to 3,000,000. Coins can only be deposited or withdrawn from the money bag in multiples of 100 coins.

Coins can also be stored at the Grand Exchange by putting in a buy offer for a Bond for less than its market price and aborting the offer. The coins can then be retrieved by using the Collect option on any bank.

The Corrupted Warrior (Bounty Hunter) can also store up to 3,000,000. There is no set increment which must be deposited. There is one located just south of the Last man standing coffer.

Tool Leprechauns

A Tool Leprechaun.

Tool Leprechauns store Farming tools and exchange harvested items into banknotes. Players can note herbs (both grimy and clean), farmable Herblore secondaries, and tradeable tree saplings by using the item on a Tool Leprechaun.

Players can clean herbs in bulk by unnoting herbs at a bank, cleaning them and noting the clean herbs at a Tool Leprechaun. The best place to do this is in the north wing of the Farming Guild, which requires level 85 Farming to access. Players who do not have the required Farming level can do this in the Hosidius Vinery, which does not have any requirements.

Cold storage

Inside the Neypotzli dungeon, during the fight against Blue Moon, there is a special attack during which the player's weapon is unequipped and frozen in a block of ice. Disconnecting or logging out during this attack will cause Eyatlalli in the Ancient Shrine to indefinitely hold the stolen weapon, even if the player dies an unsafe death.

The item can later be reclaimed by re-entering the Blue Moon boss fight at which point it will be (in order) either, equipped, added to your inventory, or, if both are full, you will not be able to enter the encounter with a dialogue opening with Eyatlalli stating "I have retrieved your weapon from its frozen state, ikníl. Retrieve it from me before continuing to fight".

Ideally, chinchompas, untradeable weapons, or weapons with niche use cases should be stored here. For example, storing the Toxic blowpipe here would save 3 looting bag slots, or storing the Keris partisan with any jewel equipped would save an inventory space.

Cargo hold

The Cargo hold provides specialized storage for a select group of Sailing-related items and can hold large quantities of eligible items indefinitely. Although limited in scope, it can be strategically valuable by allowing bulk storage of ammunition, food, and activity-specific resources that would otherwise occupy significant inventory space. This storage is particularly useful for maintaining supplies for Slayer, Herblore, Fishing, and Hunter without occupying limited inventory space.

Cannonballs

The cargo hold can store an unlimited number of cannonballs, including steel cannonballs, making the Dwarf multicannon a more viable option for use in combat. Maintaining a large off-inventory supply of cannonballs allows players to deploy a cannon as needed for tasks such as Smoke devils, Araxytes, and other multi-combat Slayer assignments where cannon usage significantly improves task speed and experience rates.

Fish and fish crates

Fish and fish crates obtained through Deep sea trawling can be stored in the cargo hold, allowing players to accumulate reserves of uncooked fish without occupying inventory space. This is useful for stockpiling food for combat activities and Herblore secondaries for future training. Raw haddock and Raw yellowfin can be processed into Haddock eyes and Yellow fins respectively, which are secondary ingredients for brewing Super fishing potions and Extreme energy potions. Storing these resources allows players to gather large quantities of Herblore secondaries in advance and use them later during dedicated training sessions.

Salvage

Shipwreck salvage can be stored in the cargo hold, which is useful when grinding Zulrah. Plundered salvage commonly yields Sapphire rings when processed, making it easier to sustain a consistent supply of Rings of recoil, a core piece of equipment for Zulrah kills. Storing salvage allows players to continue trips to Zulrah without interrupting runs to manage Crafting materials.

Fish offcuts

Fish offcuts and Fine fish offcuts can be stored in the cargo hold and serve to increase catch rates while Deep sea trawling, as well as being required bait for Crab trapping, a Hunter training method with strong experience rates. In particular, hunting Rainbow crabs requires Fine fish offcuts is necessary to obtain Rainbow crab paste, the secondary ingredient used to create Armadyl brews through Herblore. Because these items are often gathered in bulk but used intermittently, storing them in the cargo hold allows players to prepare for future Hunter and Herblore training without sacrificing valuable inventory space.

Canoe system axe storage

Any Canoe station NPC can store one axe for the player, up to and including a Dragon axe. This provides a simple, location-based storage option that ensures access to an axe when traveling the canoe system without requiring permanent inventory or bag space. This also allows for Dragon axe storage without requiring a construction level or Dramen staff.

Nest storage

The nest on top of the Windmill on Aldarin next to the Quetzal landing site can hold a single item.

This item is kept indefinitely, even if the player dies an unsafe death.

The item must be tradeable and neither its value nor GE value must exceed 99,999.

Some useful items can include a Barrel of demonic tallow, Dragon axe, Magic shortbow, Rune crossbow, Trident of the seas (Uncharged), Amulet of glory, Lava Dragon Bones, Glacial temotli, or Leaf-bladed weapons. Additionally, some STASH unit items such as Amulet of the Damned, Spined chaps or Splitbark legs could prove useful if their Costume room storage is not filled.

Dragon Claws will be replaced with an Egg if stored via this method, so it is strongly recommended to not do this. For the time being, it is suggested to be careful with what you store using this method in case there are any other unique interactions that are undiscovered.

Tombs of Amascut pickaxe storage

In Tombs of Amascut's Lobby, the Cavity will store 1 pickaxe of any tier. This can be used instead of the Dragon pickaxe master STASH unit, only requiring the completion of Beneath Cursed Sands. This has an additional benefit of not needing to deal with the other two items in the STASH unit.

Blast Furnace bar storage

Bars can be stored in the Blast Furnace bar dispenser for later use. This is useful for storing steel bars for training Construction through Mahogany Homes contracts if the player does not have noted steel bars. Players can also store runite bars for a rune crossbow, completing Sherlock master clue steps, or smithing rune bolts to use onyx bolt tips.

Dwarf multicannon

The dwarf multicannon can be reclaimed from Nulodion for free if the cannon is placed down and allowed to decay. This essentially allows players to store the cannon for later use. However, the cannon itself is not very useful for most players due to the time it takes to make steel cannonballs.

Elnock Inquisitor

Elnock Inquisitor can store butterfly nets, and up to 1,000 Impling jars. In addition, Elnock sells 10 impling jars per day for 2,000 per jar.

Lunar Staff

Obtaining a dramen staff required for access to fairy rings is a particularly tedious task for Ultimate Ironmen as it usually involves deathpiling to gain access to Entrana. The Lunar staff serves as an enhanced dramen staff for access to fairy rings. The retrieval cost is 30,000 from the Oneiromancer after the Lunar Diplomacy quest, but players who have only partially completed this quest can re-obtain lost lunar staves at no cost. Alternatively you could also purchase from Lost Property shop costing 60,000 give you more locations to re-obtain.

Animated Armour storage

The Animated Armour room in the Warriors' Guild can store a single platebody, platelegs, and full helm set up to rune. To store armour this way, simply animate a set of armour as usual, then leave the room. Shanomi will have the armour for the player when they return. This can be useful for storing a set of armour between sessions of collecting Warrior guild tokens.

She previously offered her services for free, but we no longer feel that's appropriate, since Zulrah is so generous with its loot. Once a non-Ultimate Iron player has a Zulrah kill count of 50 or more, she will start charging 100,000 coins to return your items, matching Torfinn's fee. This charge will not apply to Ultimate Iron players."
