A spirit tree can be built in the teleport space of the superior garden in a player-owned house. It requires 75 Construction, 83 Farming, and a watering can. Both skills requirements are boostable, however the crystal saw will not work. When built, it gives 350 Construction and Farming experience.

A set of goblin decorations can be used on the tree to make a Christmas-themed spirit tree, or a Raging echoes spirit tree scroll to make a Raging Echoes League-themed tree. Using a spade on the tree while in building mode allows the player to rotate it.

Trees can be planted without completing Tree Gnome Village, but can not be used to teleport to or from other spirit trees before completing the quest. Other players can also use the tree, provided they have completed the quest.

Protecting the sapling is not needed to build the spirit tree in the player-owned house, and it does not count towards the number of spirit trees a player may own.

The spirit tree grows immediately and may be used for travel directly after planting. Removing the spirit tree does not return the spirit sapling or seed.

Players can now use a spade on their PoH spirit tree to rotate it.

Trivia

  • When converted into any variant, the chathead when speaking to it will still look like the normal version.
  • When rotating the spirit tree with a spade, the tree will undergo immense amounts of pain due to the process temporarily severing its connection to the Anima Mundi. According to a video by Mod Rice (who implemented the feature), this is a reference to the fact that adding the ability to rotate spirit trees was equally painful due to the player-owned house code being hard to work with.[1][2]
