The obsidian decorative bench can be built in the seating space of the superior garden in a player-owned house. It requires 98 Construction to build and gives 2,331 experience when built. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it.

Unlike the teak garden bench and gnome bench, this bench cannot be sat on due to rendering issues.^[1] Attempting to do so results in the chatbox stating It looks like you'd get a sore back if you sat on that bench. The marble decorative bench suffers from the same issue.
