Rainbow crabs are captured rainbow crabs in item form, caught via crab trapping on the Crown Jewel. This requires level 77 Hunter and grants 216 experience. Rainbow crabs come in three varieties, which are identical in all but appearance.

A rainbow crab can be prepared with a knife to produce raw rainbow crab meat, which can then be cooked into rainbow crab meat at level 77 Cooking. Alternatively, it can be ground with a pestle and mortar to produce rainbow crab paste, which are used to create Armadyl brews.

If manually baiting the traps, players can expect to gain 150,000 experience per hour or more. Catch rates are static, so a player's Hunter level does not affect the experience rate.
