The forestry basket is an upgraded variant of the forestry kit with the functionality of the log basket added to it. Creating it requires the forestry kit, a log basket, and a sturdy harness (the harness requires level 75 Smithing and Woodcutting to create; however, these levels are not required to assemble the forestry basket).

The forestry basket automatically stores logs that the player chops or picks up, provided that it is open and that there is space available. Like the forestry kit, the clothes pouch can be attached to the forestry basket.

When the basket is filled, it can be emptied without clicking through multiple menus. Players can right-click the forestry basket and hover over "View", which reveals an "Empty basket" option. Players using the Menu Entry Swapper plugin in RuneLite can configure "Empty" as the top-level option or Shift Right Click Option, allowing for one-click emptying.

Players wearing the basket can deposit their logs by using the "Empty containers" button in the Bank UI. Players can also empty the contents of the log basket into the player's bank by right-clicking on the "Use" option. If the log basket contains no logs, then the "Use" option will deposit all leaves in the forestry kit into the bank. If the forestry basket contains no logs or leaves, then the "Use" option will withdraw all leaves from the bank back into the forestry kit. Deposits to the Woodcutting Leprechaun include logs stored in the forestry basket.

Players can revert the forestry basket into its separate components by hovering over "Configure" and selecting "Dismantle". The sturdy harness and log basket will be returned.

This item can be stored in the magic wardrobe of a costume room.
