The Golden pheasant egg is a rare reward from the Pheasant Control Forestry event. It is used on the beaver pet to allow it to metamorphose into a pheasant. It is consumed in the process.

Unlike the fox whistle, the golden pheasant egg can be obtained mid-way through the event rather than only at the end. Alternatively, the golden pheasant egg can be purchased for 75,000 anima bark from the Forestry Shop.

There is a chance to retrieve a golden pheasant egg from a pheasant nest, provided a player is eligible to receive the reward from the event;^[1] the rate is approximately 1/1500 for every regular pheasant egg retrieved.^[2] Upon receiving one, it will be placed in the inventory (or on the ground if it is full), and a game message in the chatbox will state You feel a connection to the pheasants as if one wishes to travel with you...

The golden pheasant egg can be turned in to the Friendly Forester for 250 anima-infused bark.

Only one roll for the golden pheasant egg is made upon looting a pheasant nest, after which no more rolls are given until the regular pheasant egg is turned in to the Freaky Forester.^[3] As such, repeatedly destroying regular pheasant eggs will not increase one's chance of receiving the drop.

5 February 2025 (Update)	The Golden Pheasant Egg can now be purchased from for Forestry Shop for 75,000 Anima Bark a piece. Drop rates for the Golden Pheasant Egg have been adjusted to 1 in 30 per event (as stated in the news post; the real rate is ~1 in 50 per event due to being based on actions instead).
6 March 2024 (Update)	Unique drops from forestry events are now received in the inventory, provided that there is space.
14 February 2024 (Update)	The drop rate of the egg has been increased to compensate for the changes to forestry events. This rate was previously between around 1/4,500 to 1/2,250 per egg retrieved from level 1 to 99 Woodcutting, increased to 1/2,700 to 1/1,350 per egg retrieved. As they have been removed, padded spoons are no longer required to receive the golden pheasant egg.
