Tree roots appear as part of the rising roots event for 25-35 ticks (15-21 seconds) at the beginning of the event. After this duration, anima-infused roots appear with a green trim for 18 tick (10.8 second) increments. Players must be attentive as they spawn randomly within a 5x5 grid of the south-west corner of the tree spawning this event. Players will receive anima-infused bark and Woodcutting experience, both based on their Woodcutting level shown below:

Anima Bark with Roots vs Anima-infused Roots
Woodcutting Level Range Regular Roots Anima-infused Roots
15-40 2-3 8-10
41-99 3-4 11-13

If players log in whilst the event is going on, they will get half the amount of bark; regular roots will give 1-2 anima-infused bark per chop, whilst the anima-infused roots grant 2-3 bark, both regardless of the ineligible player's Woodcutting level.

Rising tree roots appear around the area.
