The mithril felling axe is a type of felling axe requiring an Attack level of 20 to be equipped, and a Woodcutting level of 21 to be used. Players can create the axe by using a felling axe handle on a mithril axe while having a hammer in their inventory and standing next to an anvil; this process is irreversible, but the felling axe itself remains tradeable.

Mithril felling axes will chop at the same speed as a normal mithril axe. If the player is carrying forester's rations however (either in the inventory or inside a forestry kit), they will receive 10% more Woodcutting experience each time they successfully chop a tree and gain a 20% chance not to receive logs when chopping trees (or tree roots in the Rising Roots forestry event), at the cost of consuming one ration. This also results in a 20% chance to not receive anima-infused bark from tree roots.

If the player has no rations on their person, the felling axe will function like a regular mithril axe.
