The Trailblazer axe is an item obtained within the Trailblazer Reloaded League, given to players at a bank upon unlocking the Infernal Gathering relic alongside the trailblazer pickaxe and harpoon.

With no requirement to use and equip, the Trailblazer axe functions as a crystal axe with similar effects to an infernal axe (with a one-tick increase in performance compared with normal tools), in which any logs chopped are burned (without creating a fire), granting Firemaking experience regardless of level requirements. This effect can be turned off and on through the use of the 'Toggle' option on the axe. This option will toggle the effect for all three trailblazer tools. The axe also inherits the crystal axe's special attack.

If used with the Endless Harvest relic, the burning effect will take precedent and two sets of logs will be burnt (granting Firemaking experience for both) instead of being banked.

Contrary to the item's destroy text, players who lose the trailblazer axe must reclaim it from The Sage in Lumbridge rather than the Leagues Tutor as stated in the destruction confirmation dialogue. The Leagues Tutor did not exist at the time – the Leagues Assistant did, but was only found on non-Leagues worlds.

This item appeared in a previous temporary event, with the following differences from its latest incarnation:

• Trailblazer League
  • The axe was obtained by unlocking the Infernal Gathering relic.
  • The axe had no "Toggle" option; the log burning passive effect was always active.
  • If lost, it was reclaimable from the Leagues Tutor rather than The Sage.
  • The axe was destroyed on death; it is unknown if this was the case during Trailblazer Reloaded League.
• The echo axe was a very similar item used in later events.
