The Echo axe is an item that could be obtained during the Grid Master community event by unlocking the Lumberjack relic.

The echo axe had no requirement to use or equip, and functioned as a non-degradable version of the crystal axe, including its special attack. In addition, on failing to chop a tree, there was be a separate 50% chance to succeed, and any items gathered from Woodcutting were automatically sent to the player's bank.

This axe had no way of depositing logs into your inventory.

The echo axe also had two toggle-able effects:

• Automatically burning logs for Firemaking experience regardless of the player's Firemaking level. This option is set by default.
• Automatically Fletching logs into arrow shafts for Fletching experience regardless of the player's Fletching level or membership status. In Wintertodt, the axe automatically fletched logs into kindling.

The echo axe had the same special attack as the dragon axe and crystal axe, Lumber Up, that provides a visible +3 boost to Woodcutting, consuming 100% special attack energy.

This item appeared in a previous temporary event, with the following differences from its latest incarnation:

• Raging Echoes League
  • The echo axe was obtained by selecting the Lumberjack tier 1 relic.
  • Free-to-play players could not participate in the League.
• The trailblazer axe was a very similar item used in previous events.
