Provided that players choose to unlock Kourend✓, the Wintertodt will be the best method of training Firemaking beyond level 50. Otherwise, burning logs traditionally is the player's best alternate option.

Those looking for more relaxed and AFK training can choose to create Forester's Campfires for 45% of the experience rate compared to lighting rows of fires.

Firemaking is modified by the following relics:

Lumberjack allows you to burn logs as they are chopped even if you do not have the level to burn the logs normally while using the echo axe. Additionally, the auto-fletch option will automatically fletch bruma roots into kindling, which is useful when fighting the Wintertodt due to the slightly higher Firemaking experience granted from kindling compared to roots.

For gathering logs, players have the following options:

• Managing Miscellania Fremennik✓, where players can focus on maple logs or a mix of teak and mahogany logs. The latter is much more useful for Construction however despite their higher experience.
• Magic logs:
  • Wilderness✓ has Venenatis, Callisto and Vet'ion who drop 225 magic logs at a time, or their lesser counterparts Spindel, Artio and Calvar'ion who drop 60 at a time.
  • Gathering Larran's key can also access his chests, which can give 80-120 and 180-220 logs respectively.
  • Revenants are a good source of magic logs for lower levels.
  • Fremennik✓ Vorkath can drop 50 at a time.
  • Misthalin✓ Abyssal Sire can drop 50-70 at a time, however this is much slower than other methods.
• Yew logs:
  • Wilderness✓ revenants and the King Black Dragon drop a fair amount of yew logs.
  • Morytania✓ Araxxor can drop 70 at a time.
  • Tirannwn✓ Zulrah can drop 35 per pile.
  • Asgarnia✓ Giant Mole can drop 100 at a time.
