The sunlight spear is a two-handed weapon that was a reward from completing all column 6 tasks in Grid Master. Every time the player attacks using the spear, they will gain a "Sunlight Stack", which can be stacked up to 20. Players will lose a Sunlight Stack if they have not attacked for 50 ticks (30 seconds). Additionally, teleporting will reset the Sunlight Stacks to zero.

Despite the name, the Sunlight Spear is considered a Stab Sword and will not complete the Combat Achievement I Brought Mine Too for killing Sol Heredit with a spear.

The sunlight spear has a special attack, Sol Slam, which consumes 7 Sunlight Stacks (rather than special attack energy). The special attack will hit all targets within three tiles of the player, with the damage dealt increasing by 3% per prayer bonus the player has. This does not require the player to be in combat, and deals typeless damage, so it can be used to damage enemies that are normally immune to melee, such as Nylocas Hagios.

Equipping the sunlight spear replaces the special attack interface with a unique graphic () that indicates the Sunlight Stack resource, however player's special attack energy continues to regenerate in the background normally.

Additionally, the special attack is not a basic attack, meaning that the player can perform a regular attack followed by Sol Slam on the next game tick, though the animation of the special attack will prevent the player from attacking normally, so it is best used right after a regular attack.
