Overview
Crafting is modified by the following relics:
Power Miner makes it so that when gems are gathered from mining they are automatically cut and grant Crafting experience regardless of your Crafting level.
Golden God makes many material and tool shops affordable.
Production Master allows players to process all leather, uncut gems, molten glass, jewellery, pottery, Battlestaves, flax, or wool in their inventory in one action.
Grimoire can be used to freely swap between all spellbooks and gives access to spells regardless of area, quest, or diary requirements. Provided that a source of astral runes can be obtained then Lunar spells such as superglass make can be used without unlocking
Fremennik✓.
Training
Common materials used to train crafting are molten glass, gems, tanned hides, flax, and battlestaves. Most of these items have region restrictions which will limit a player's ability to train with them during Raging Echoes League. It should be noted that Death on the Isle can be used to get from 1 - 40 with no crafting requirements, skipping a large portion of the early levels.
Glassblowing
Molten glass can be made by using a bucket of sand and soda ash or giant seaweed in a furnace. Molten glass can be crafted using a glassblowing pipe. All of these items are obtainable in the starting region of the Raging Echoes League, particularly by accessing available charter shops.
| Item | Region | Notes | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket of sand | May be purchased from charter shops. The only sand pit available in the starting area is in Zanaris. The fastest way to obtain buckets of sand is to mine sandstone in the Quarry | ||
| Giant seaweed | Requires level 23 Farming, farming patch located underwater on Fossil Island. Seaweed spores can be obtained by utilising underwater content on Fossil Island, or by stealing them from Master Farmers (albeit extremely rarely). | ||
| Superglass Make | Requires level 77 Magic. A player must be on the Lunar spellbook to cast this spell, each cast requires 10 | ||
Gem Cutting
Due to the infinite shop stock shop mechanics in Raging Echoes League cutting gems can be a lucrative and fast method to train crafting.
| Region | Shop | Item | Uncut buy price | Cut sell price | Net profit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Herquin's Gems. | 25 | 175 | 150 | ||
| Gem Trader. | 50 | 350 | 300 | ||
| Toci's Gem Store | 100 | 700 | 600 |
Players with none of these regions, but with any of Fremennik✓,
Kandarin✓,
Kourend✓ or
Tirannwn✓ can still make a profit by gem cutting by utilising shops in Mor Ul Rek, preferably with the Karamja Gloves equipped. Chaos runes can be sold to TzHaar-Mej-Roh's Rune Store for Tokkul, uncut gems bought at TzHaar-Hur-Lek or TzHaar-Hur-Rin's Ore and Gem Store, the gems cut and then sold to a non-TzHaar gem shop for a profit. These shops are:
Fremennik✓: Green Gemstone Gems
Kandarin✓: Ardougne Gem Stall
Kourend✓: Kourend Castle Gem Stall
Tirannwn✓: Prifddinas Gem Stall
This method is considerably sped up with access to Banker's Note or Total Recall, though remains inferior to the options in Asgarnia, the Desert or Varlamore.
Jewellery
Gems can be mined from the gem rocks in Shilo Village in Karamja with level 40 Mining or in the Lunar Isle mine, see the Mining guide for more details. Wearing a charged amulet of glory greatly increases the probability of successfully mining the gem rock. Gold ore and silver ore can be obtained commonly from many sources. Unfortunately, the moulds necessary to process these items are more difficult to come by, and requires either level 44 Construction to build a tool store 4 in a player-owned house, or by unlocking the Desert, Asgarnia or Varlamore areas for access to a crafting shop. Ring, bracelet, and necklace moulds are also sold on Ape Atoll at Hamab's Crafting Emporium. It's also worth mentioning that the ring, and amulet moulds are dropped by the barbarians in Barbarian Village at a 1/128 drop rate. (with the level 10's dropping the ring mould, and the level 15,17's dropping the amulet mould)
Leather
Although cow hide and dragonhide are easily obtained in the starting area, tanneries are not available without unlocking additional areas, which renders those materials temporarily useless. If a player chooses to unlock the Wilderness, Tirannwn, and Fremennik areas then they will be unable to use these materials until they complete the Fremennik Hard Diary and obtain level 78 Magic.
Needle and thread are obtainable in Varrock at the Fancy Clothes Store.
| Region | Tanner | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ellis | Located in Al Kharid, near the bank. | |
| Leatherworker | Located in the Ranging guild, requires level 40 Ranged to enter. No right-click option is available, so players must manually speak to and navigate through the NPC's chat to access the tannery interface. | |
| Sbott | Located in Canifis, near the bank. Charges twice as much as other tanners (+45 gp/item max). | |
| Crafting Guild | Requires level 40 Crafting and a brown apron to enter the guild. The tanner is located on 1st floor. | |
| Requires the Fremennik Hard Diary and level 78 Magic. A player must be on the Lunar spellbook to cast this spell, each cast requires 5 | ||
| Eodan | He tans hides in the Forthos Dungeon at a higher cost than other tanners, but this can be reduced by completing parts of the Kourend & Kebos Diary. | |
| Mary | Requires the completion of Getting Ahead to use. |
Flax
Flax can be spun into bowstring at a spinning wheel for 15 Crafting experience each, however the only way to obtain flax in the starting area is on the Isle of Souls, or by catching baby implings (1/100) or through the bee keeper random event.
| Method | Region | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Dom Onion's Reward Shop | N/A | Unobtainable. The Nightmare Zone's Ironman mode account restrictions apply, thus purchasing flax is impossible during the Raging Echoes League. |
| Zulrah | Frequently drops flax in increments of 1,000, for up to 2,000 per kill. | |
| Seers' Village spinning wheel | Allows players to spin flax 33% faster with completion of the Kandarin medium diary. | |

| Managing Miscellania | Produces a maximum of 1,250 flax per day. | |
| Manually picking flax | Various |
|
Battlestaves
A battlestaff may be created and then alched by attaching an elemental orb to a normal battlestaff. Elemental orbs are difficult to obtain due to area restrictions. The only way to craft battlestaves without either the Wilderness or Asgarnia areas unlocked will be to obtain the elemental orbs as drops from various sources.
| Item | Region | Notes | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Air obelisk | 137.5 Crafting experience per orb attachment. Also dropped by Nex | ||
| Fire obelisk | 125 Crafting experience per orb attachment. Also dropped by lava dragons | ||
| Earth obelisk | 112.5 Crafting experience per orb attachment. Also dropped by the Abyssal Sire | ||
| Water obelisk | 100 Crafting experience per orb attachment. Also dropped by waterfiends | ||

Glass making
Entrana in Asgarnia✓ is a good place to blow glass, as it has respawns for glassblowing pipes and seaweed and has a sand pit, a range and a furnace.
- Beer glasses can be crafted at level 1, although it may not be worth it to craft with glass until level 46 to make unpowered orbs
- Unless unpowered orbs are needed to craft battlestaves, lantern lenses should be crafted starting at level 49
- Empty light orbs are the final product that can be created with molten glass, requiring level 87
Jewellery
Gems can be cut with a chisel starting at level 1 with uncut opals. Gold bars or silver bars can be combined with gems and a jewellery mould in a furnace to create rings, necklaces, bracelets, or amulets.
Other training methods
Crafting birdhouses provides a low amount of Crafting experience.
Creating crystal equipment using a Singing bowl in Tirannwn✓ is an expensive way to gain a large amount of experience. The boosted drop rates for crystal armour seed and crystal weapon seed from The Gauntlet can be very useful, with enough crystal shards you can train both smithing and crafting extremely fast using only 1 or more crystal armour seed. If Golden God is taken then Crystal weapon seeds can be obtained by purchasing crystal weaponry from Islwyn for 900,000 coins.
Repairing barricades within Pest Control in Asgarnia✓ grants a low amount of Crafting experience, as well as a moderate amount of activity points within the mini-game, making it a minor auxiliary method for busy Pest Control games.
