Gwenith is a small village north-west of Prifddinas, in the shadow of the mountain of Mynydd. Gorlah, an altar to Seren, lays to the east. Completion of Song of the Elves is required to access the village.

Any method of travel to Prifddinas will be suitable for reaching Gwenith. The most effective way to reach Gwenith by teleport is via spirit tree.

The following lore is sourced from Legends of the Mountain, dialogue with Marwolaeth Dawnsio, and dialogue with Meddwl Ymlaen Llaw.

It is unknown when Gwenith was formed, but it has likely existed as long as Prifddinas has. All who have access to Prifddinas are also allowed in Gwenith. At some point (possibly prior to the village's formation), the nearby mountain of Mynydd experienced some sort of catastrophe that resulted in the destruction of the castle at its peak.

Recently, some of the village's inhabitants have left the town due to finding it too far removed from the forest, choosing to instead camp out in the woods north of Gorlah.

There is a bank deposit box right outside the windmill.

Despite the small size of the village, there are several spots to train in or use:

• Five maple trees to the north.

• A water source near Marwolaeth's house.
• Fishing spots for big net, harpoon, and lobster pot fishing to the north-east.
• A dairy cow pen, with regular cows in it.
• Two ranges, although both are far from a bank.
• Hunter area to the east, where players can catch red chinchompas.

Additionally, there is a rowboat that can be built after constructing the rowboat (amenity) on Ynysdail; after building, players can take the boat to go between Ynysdal and Gwenith without need to use their own boat. Building this boat requires 73 Sailing and 70 Construction.

The village has three inhabitants:

• Gwerin Hapus, who runs the local mill.
• Marwolaeth Dawnsio, a fortune-teller.
• Preswylwyr Dall, the local baker.

• Gwenith is Welsh for "wheat".
• The town may be a reference to the song "Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head" by the English band Gorillaz. This song tells the story of people called 'happy folk' who are the blind residents of a town in the shadow of a mountain called 'monkey'. The residents are killed by invaders and dance the 'dance of the dead'.
