Ed is a human found by the Unmarked Grave west of the Wintertodt Camp. He can be reached by running from the hidden trail north-west corner of the camp. Speaking to him will reveal that he is searching for the helm of raedwald in order to complete his clue hunter outfit.
After completion of the Song of the Elves quest, Ed will no longer be found by the Unmarked Grave. Instead he can be found on Mynydd, a mountain found north-west of Prifddinas, near a small gold mine. On this occasion, he is searching for the ornate helm, to complete the ornate armour set.

- Ed is a reference to Mod Ed, a Jagex Moderator who helped develop the Wintertodt and was the project leader for Song of the Elves.
