The Evil Chicken's Lair is located on Zanaris^[1] and is accessed by using a raw chicken on the Chicken Shrine. Undead raw chicken does not work.

It is accessible during and after the Recipe for Disaster subquest Freeing Sir Amik Varze during which players must kill the Evil Chicken. To be able to access the Evil Chicken's Lair, the player must have spoken to the Wise Old Man in Draynor Village after speaking to the Cook to learn Sir Amik Varze's recipe.

The area can be exited via the portal, which takes you next to the chicken shrine.

Four level 227 black dragons live here on the main level, making the lair an ideal location for Slayer tasks, due to the proximity of the Zanaris bank. Before entering, players are suggested to wield an anti-dragon shield and turn on the Protect from Melee prayer, as the black dragons are close to the portal and will attack on entry. A ring of life may be useful, just in case the player almost dies. A cannon can be placed in the lair.

Black dragons can be safespotted in the entrance of eastern tunnel to the mine, or north using the bone piles before the cave with the evil chicken nest. Once the dragons become non-aggressive, they can also be safespotted using the south-west corner of the middle pillar.

A level 83 baby black dragon can be found down a level and is reached by using a rope on the tunnel entrance near the middle of the west wall, and then climbing down the rope. The rope will last for a few minutes, then disappear, requiring the player to bring a rope every trip.

A mine in the south-east (Evil Chicken's Lair mine) has 4 iron, 4 coal, 3 silver, 4 gold, and 2 mithril rocks.

• Using an egg on the Evil Chicken's shrine will give the message, "Nice idea, but nothing interesting happens".
• According to the Wise Old Man, the reason that black dragons can be found in the Evil Chicken's Lair is because it is forcing them to guard it.^[2]
