The bloodthirsty mage was an unused variant of the malevolent mage, the superior form of the infernal mage, that would have appeared after unlocking the Bloodthirsty relic in Trailblazer Reloaded League. Because internal mages could not be assigned as a Slayer task during the league, it was never possible to encounter a bloodthirsty mage.

It would have had a 25% chance of spawning in place of a malevolent mage, which have a 4% chance of appearing after killing an infernal mage.

Had the bloodthirsty mage been possible to kill, it would have provided 9 rolls on the infernal mage drop table and a roll on the bloodthirsty unique drop table.
