Poachers is a group Forestry event where players attempt to disarm fox traps to prevent poachers from capturing a frightened fox.

Overview

The goal of this event is for players to disarm as many traps as possible to save the fox from being captured. Players earn both Woodcutting and Hunter experience as well as anima-infused bark whilst disarming these traps. However, not disarming the traps will damage the fox, and if more than two traps are left up, it will be captured and end the event. Players can prevent this by working together and disarming all of the traps to free the fox until the poachers give up and flee. If the players disarm all the traps within the given period and the fox survives, players can earn bonus Woodcutting experience and anima bark that scales with each player's contribution.

How to play

The length of this event is one minute and 50 seconds. During this event, a random poacher will lay down a trap every five seconds up to 15 traps. This gives players a chance to spot where each trap is to save the fox from walking over and dying from the traps. The fox has a starting 100 Hitpoints, and each trap damages the fox by 33-34 Hitpoints if the trap is not disarmed in time. Thus, it is important not to miss more than two traps or the fox will die, the event will fail, and no bonus experience, anima-infused bark, or unique will be awarded. In this case, every player who attempted to disarm at least one trap will receive the message, Unfortunately you weren't able to save the fox from the poachers...

A trap is considered disarmed if the player receives the message in the game chatbox saying, You successfully disarm the fox trap.
