Money making guide/Killing Frost dragons (off-task)

The profit rate assumes 138 kills per hour. Your actual profits may be higher or lower depending on your focus, gear, and luck. Up to 141 kills per hour is achievable with maximum gear, decent focus, and enough Frost dragons available to always be in-combat. With less focus, or with only one Frost dragon available, you can expect closer to 112 kills per hour.
Most of the value comes from dragon metal sheets and dragon nails.
Up to 150 kills per hour can be achieved using Fire Surge with a tome of fire, at an additional hourly supply cost of −591,484.00 compared to melee. With lower combat stats, it's significantly better to use magic over melee, but with high enough stats and gear, melee slightly surpasses magic for better profit per hour—despite fewer kills per hour—due to the lower supply costs.
Higher kills per hour can also be achieved by opting not to bank any Frost dragon bones, but this results in an overall lower profit rate.
This guide assumes you're off-task. For killing Frost dragons on a Slayer task, see Money making guide/Killing Frost dragons (on-task).
