Depending on Woodcutting levels and equipped axe, players can chop 500–1,100 oak logs (18,000 – 39,600 coins, respectively) per hour.
The best place to chop oak trees in F2P is Draynor Village. There is an oak tree just east of the bank. Since oak trees regenerate very quickly, there is not much downtime.
An alternative for non-members is cutting the oak trees just outside Varrock's western walls, which are very near Varrock west bank.
For members, the best place to chop oak trees is in Seers' Village. There are two oak trees next to each other just south of the bank, which can be chopped consecutively without needing to move. In addition, players can receive oak leaves and can be automatically stored in a Forestry kit if equipped or in the inventory.
An alternative is in the Woodcutting Guild, the eastern half has three oak trees where they can be deposited into a bank deposit box at Perry's Chop-chop Shop. This can offer similar amounts of logs per hour, but it is only for members.
